Right side of finished heart.

Right side of finished heart.

While sorting out and trying to tidy up I’ve found lots of unfinished projects, many from before I started my degree, lots from Embroiderers’ Guild workshops. So I’ve started to finish some off. This 11cm stuffed heart didn’t need much doing to it at all. The embroidery was all finished, it just needed stitching together and stuffing. I think one of the reasons I’d not done it was that I wasn’t sure whether to stitch it right sides together and turn it through, or to satin stitch it together like the box I did in Rachel Lombard’s workshop, which is what I’ve done in the end.  I put some lavender from the garden in with the stuffing, good forinsomnia, as I’m using it as a light pull on my bedside light. It looks good and it keeps reminding me to continue with more unfinished projects. Some of which only need a couple more hours work. Lots more to come.
